I don't think it would be very interesting revisiting the first Dead Space game a third time, but in movie form. There are plenty of other sources to pull from, like the animated movies 'Downfall' and 'Aftermath' or the several comics and books. They could even get the original voice actors to do it.Īlso, I don't think many directors would be interesting in just remaking the game into a movie, and neither would I. I'm not talking about 'Toy Story' or 'Minions' type 3D animation lmao. There are plenty of other examples from that series alone, but even lower quality 3D animation like the Starship Troopers animated movies have pretty good quality. When I say 3D animation, I'm referring to that. And it would make up for a lower budget.Įdit: okay just for clarification, if you haven't seen it look up Love+Death+Robots, and watch season 1 episode 2, 'Beyond the Aquila Rift'. Especially since a lot of it centers around body horror. I don't think a live action movie would have the budget and it would end up like DOOM, and I think the horror would be more visceral in 3D than 2D. Dead Space: Downfall is a 2008 animated film prequel to the first game. Personally think it should be 3D, similar to 'LOVE+DEATH+ROBOTS'. Dead Space is a science fiction/horror franchise created and directed by Glen Schofield.
